About Jeanine
Psychotherapist, supervisor, author, presenter
Jeanine Connor MBACP, MSc, MEd, BSc (Hons)

Statement of diversity & inclusion
I am an active LGBTQ+ & TNBGQ ally and welcome all genders and sexualities into my practice. I work within a framework which is anti-discriminatory, sex-affirmative, anti-racist and pro-neurodiversity. I acknowledge that I practice from my own frame of reference and engage in monthly supervision and regular personal and professional development to expand my learning and examine my own biases and assumptions. I centre client agency and autonomy, and see value each client as the expert in their own experiences and desires.
Psychotherapy, supervision, consultancy
I'm a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (MBACP) and a highly experienced senior psychodynamic psychotherapist & clinical supervisor. My special interest, developed over 25+ years clinical experience, is in supporting adolescents & younger adults (13-30). I also work with adults, parent/child dyads & families.
I provide regular clinical supervision to qualified & trainee practitioners working in mental health & other settings, such as education or social work. I also offer more single session or bespoke consultancy to those requiring a specialist psychological perspective.
Books & publications
I am the author of over 270 publications & the Editor of hundreds more. My writing, which is accessible & often humorous, combines clinical experience with observations from modern life. I've written five books, most notably 'Stop F*cking Nodding & other things 16 year olds say in therapy' and 'You're Not My F*cking Mother & other things Gen Z say in therapy', as well as articles, columns, blogs, resources & reviews. I am the Editor of BACP Children, Young People & Families magazine and Reviews Editor for BACP Therapy Today.

Events, podcasts & media requests
I'm a qualified teacher & regularly present at events around the UK & facilitate workshops in the room & online. I work with a diverse range of audiences, sharing my passion, skills, knowledge & experience in a way that is contemporary, creative, friendly & fun. I enjoy receiving invitations to speak with podcast hosts on a variety of pertinent themes & to contribute 'expert quotes' & professional opinion to media requests.
